Ruh Zafran (Ruh Kesar) is a rare and deeply precious perfume oil, a golden essence crafted through an age-old Indian distillation tradition that honors patience, purity, and the transformative power of fire. The journey begins with the finest, hand-selected strands of kesar (saffron), gently meshed on a traditional silbatta to release their golden essence without heat or haste. This saffron is then placed inside the deg, while the separate chonga is filled with cooling, pure sandalwood oil. As a slow, controlled wood fire is lit, the saffron releases its soul as fragrant vapor, which is meticulously absorbed, drop by precious drop, into the sandalwood. This multiple-time process, followed by final copper vessel maturation, allows the fragrance to fully unify into a ruh that is warm, luminous, and profoundly meditative.
